I've had the best two and half months ever! I have a new boyfriend (well, not so new anymore) who's great, and smart, and sweet. He's teh best thing that has ever happened to me. HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY!

 On my tombstone, I want my full name, and then, underneath it this qoute;

"Nobody but nobody can make it our here alone."

I also want
Loving wife and mother

Firstly, I want that quote because it is what I truely believe. Maya Angelou was right.  Secondly, I want the bit about being a loving wife and mother to be there, because that's what I hope to be in the future. That's what I want to be remembered for.

So......my life has had its ups and downs. One of the biggest ones being my ex boyfriend. Now, when we broke up, after 7 months of dating, I was heartbroken, as any teenage girl would be. This break-up, combined with a few other things, triggered a three year long depression. Within this depression, my ex and I tried to get back together. We dated a week ( and he seemed to use me for his pleasure) before he said he didn' love me like he said he had. After this I was pissed. I was angry at him. I hated him. For a year, I had longed for him; wanted him back. And then suddenly, I didn't want him anymore. I thought this would be a relief. I wouldn't cry for him back anymore. But let me tell you, hating and loving someone are the same thing, just wrapped in different packages. I still cried over him, I still thought of him all the time. I still wanted to die.

Well, I beat my depression about 6 months ago, and was able to move on from the sadness. Yet, I still felt a slight hatred towards my ex. The last time we  talked, well, it wasn't talking. I was screaming and cussing, and absoulutely livid.  Now, for the two years after the second break-up, I avoided him, gave him looks (like a mature person would ; ]  ) and avoided talking about him. Well, recently, a situation arose where I felt I needed to contact him. I was afraid ( I didn't want it to turn into a fight) nad nervous. Well, I did it, and when he said something back, I found that the hate was gone. That I was over it. That I could just be friends with him, and nothing more. I don't need him to be an enemy or a lover just because of our past. I feel so good, I could cry. The air is cleared between us.  I'm so glad that I had the balls to contact him. If I hadn't, I would still feel the wieght of my hate.

Now, I tell this story, partly just to blab, and partly to tell people that hate and love share a bed. You can't be over someone if you hate them.

Man, I just feel so good now that I've gotten this out of my system. Later!

Who is your favorite fictional character? Why do you love them? What fictional character bugs you?

I have many favorite fictional characters. One I really like is is Shane from Rachel Caine's Morganville Vampire Series. Shane is reckless, and often gets himself in trouble, but he is so sweet and lovable. He cares a lot for his girlfriend Claire and his friends. He will do anything to protect them. This good attribute often gets him in trouble though. I also love Myrnin from the same series. Myrnin is slowly losing his mind. He is fun to read about and, though he can be dangerous, he can also be helpful. He is an interesting character.

Lewis Lavender Orwell from Rachel Caine's Weather Warden series is also one of my favorites. He is funny, smart and irresitible. I really do love him!

Ok, so pretty much any of the characters from Rachel Caine's books are my favorites. Also, any of the good characters from Twilight!

What song lyrics would you love to have written, and why?

View 506 Answers

There are many song lyrics that I wish I had written. The first of them all would be Mother Superior by Coheed & Cambria.

Here, sleep at the bottom of hell
Your time has come to pick the road
You walk in this tale.
Turned and as a coward you've learned
Through sickness and health,
There's only one,
Now go and bite your tongue.

You'll just say the worst of me,
With a hope they'll understand.
No, they know you're just a boy.
So grow up and be a man.
Little baby, kicking, you scream and whine
Victims pay the price eventually
The cost? let's see... your life.

You've got nothing to prove, stay afraid.
Young brother, you've got nothing to prove.

Your answer is in there,
Just stare down the barrel.
Your sincerest apologies,
Won't write you out of this one.
Tonight, you'll find the right
In the pull of the trigger, now bite.
Oh young fools, don't cry... anymore.

A fear sleeps inside your stomach,
It swells.
A torn boy alone in need of fix and the pinch that cures the itch.
For too long,
This little baby has cried on.
For tomorrow we'll sing the words and song
Of a time we're glad is long gone.

You'll just say the worst of me,
With a hope they'll understand.
No, they know you're just a boy.
So grow up and be that man.
Little baby, kicking, you scream and whine
Victims pay the price eventually
The cost? let's see... your life.

You've got nothing to prove, stay afraid.
Young brother, you've got nothing to prove.

Your answer is in there,
Just stare down the barrel.
Your sincerest apologies,
Won't write you out of this one.
Tonight, you'll find the right
In the pull of the trigger, now bite.
Oh young fools, don't cry...

Mother superior,
Come catch the rabbit, he runs.
My how've you been?
You're frightened of leaving this truly gone fishing amalgam,
Go fetch your gun.

Your answer is in there,
Just stare down the barrel.
Your sincerest apologies,
Won't write you out of this one.
Tonight, you'll find the right
In the pull of the trigger, now bite.
Oh young fools, don't cry...

Not anymore, don't cry boy
Not anymore, don't cry boy
Not anymore, don't cry boy
When your sick to the stomach
Just pull out the knife, Oh no.

Don't cry boy.
Not anymore, don't cry boy
Not anymore, don't cry boy
When your sick to the stomach
Just pull out the knife, Oh no.

The song is just amazing and the lyrics give me chills. I love the chorus the best! I wish i had written it because of it's beauty  and possible meanings.

Another I wish I had written would be On A Tuesday In Amsterdam Long Ago by the Counting Crows.

A picture of Amsterdam
Bare trees under glass
Framed in the grey and white afternoon light
Of a winter long passed
When I was a riser
To Dublin I'd roam
She was a bareback rider
Some miles from home

Come back to me
Come back to me
Come back to me
Come back to me

She’s a carnival diver
Hung in the sky
Cutting through time like a memory
Strung on a wire
Now the color of anything
Fades in the air
She is the film of a book
Of the story of the smell of her hair

Come back to me
Come back to me
Come back to me
Come back to me

When everything’s over
And everything’s clear
When everyone’s older
And no one is here
I try to remember
A girl on a wire
Tumbling and diving above Steven’s Green
Like a kite in the air

Come back to me
Come back to me
Come back to me
Come back to me
Oh come back to me
Come back to me
Come back to me
Come back to me yeah
Come back to me
Come back to me
Come back to me

The pain is so obvious in this song. The lyrics give me chills and make me want to sing along. I've felt the emotion in this song, and it speaks to me, not only as an amazing belting song, but on a personal level.

The third song I wish I had written is also by the Counting Crows. It's called Black And Blue.

Fading everything to black and blue
You look a lot like you
Shatter in the blink of an eye
You keep sailing right on through
Every time you say you're learning
You just look a lot like me
Pale under the blistering sky
White and red
Black and blue
You've been waiting a long time
You've been waiting a long time
To fall down on your knees
Cut your hands
Cut yourself until you bleed
Fall asleep next to me
Wait for everyone to go away
And in a dimly lit
room where you've got nothing to hide
Say your goodbyes
Tell yourself we'll read
a note that says
I'm sorry everyone
I'm tired of feeling nothing goodbye
Wash your face
Dry your eyes
Cause you've been waiting a long time
You've been waiting a long long time
To fall down on your knees
Cut your hands
Cut yourself until you bleed
But fall asleep next to me
Have a dream I'm falling down
On my face
Scrape my knees
Scrape my hands until they bleed
Cause you're fast asleep next to me
Next to me [3X]

I wish i had written this song, because again, I have experienced cutting. The song is just a perfect and poetic way of expressing what I have also felt. I love it. It makes me want to cry.

Alright, first off, I would like to mention that I tend to gravitate towards romance genres.........and vampires. So most of these are romances.....or vampire romances! But they are all worth your time and energy!!

The Morganville Vampire series is first on my list. There are currently four books out, and two more a planned to be released. So far, the books are:
Glass Houses
Dead Girls Dance
Midnight Alley
Feast Of Fools

Lord of Misrule is due to be released January 6th 2009.

Carpe Corpus, the 6th book,  is under construction.

Rachel Caine is the author of these fabulous vamp books. They are original and new! Not a knock off of Twilight!

For more information and book summaries, please visit the authors website at http://rachelcaine.com/morganville.html
This  will take you to the main Morganville page. From there, you can click books to find summaries and info.

Next on my list if Must Reads is yet another series by the fabulous Rachel Caine!! It is called the Weather Warden Series. This series is interesting, new and is something I have never seen done before. The books are as follow:

Ill Wind
Heat Stroke
Chill Factor
Windfall
Firestorm
Thin Air
Gale Force.......to be released August Fifth of this year!!

There will be an 8th book, though the title has not yet been released.

If you are looking for books to tide you over before the release of Breaking Dawn, these will do the trick. All these are great books. Some are short reads while others take a longer time.

In my opinion, Twilight, the series, is in a whole other league. I can't compare other books to it. So if you haven't read the Twilight Saga then do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

These are my suggestions. If you know of any other great books, let me know!!!!
